The NFL’s financial boom shows no signs of slowing down.
The league informed its 32 clubs that the projected salary cap for the 2026 season is expected to land between $301.2 million and $305.7 million per team, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero on Friday.
A final cap number will be set over the next few weeks between the NFL Scouting Combine and start of the 2026 league year in March.
If these projections hold, 2026 will mark the first time in league history that the spending limit has breached the $300-million threshold.
Since 2022, the reported figures would represent an increase of nearly $93 million to $97 million in just a four-year window.
That would represent almost a $20-million jump from this year’s $279.2 million cap.
